Here is a very good fish and chip recipe that is second to none with golden brown crispy coating and white flaky fish inside try and injoy!!!!!
3 lbs. fish filets (Cod works best)
1 cup buttermilk
1 lemon sliced
2 cups pancake mix
2 1/2 cups club soda
veg. oil for frying
Flour for dredging
Cut filets in triangle shapes. Cover with buttermilk and sliced lemon, refrig. for two hours. Remove from milk, dredge fish in flour and let dry a few min. Combine pancake mix and club soda to consistency of buttermilk. Deep fry filets that have been dipped in pancake mixture. Keep warm in 250 degree oven.
Chips : use fresh potatoes and cut into 3 and a half inch rectagles 3.5"L x 1"w x 1/2" thick and fry them to golden brown then place them on paper towl or in a paper bag and season with salt,Injoy!!!!!!
